I surfed WordPress for awhile and found it a nicer blogging site than blogger.com. I absolutely swooned when I saw that I could import posts from other blogs. It took a horrendously long time to get the tags and categories right, but now I’m happy.

So, from now on, this will be my main blog, and zoeysranting.blogspot.com will be no more. Go WordPress!

Well. Here I am, with a new blog. I swear, this is like, the fifth blog I’ve started. The previous ones were all made back in fourth or fifth grade, which were mainly used to post a bunch of skits I made up. I stayed away from blogs for awhile because 1) I didn’t think posting stuff ONLINE (You know, where millions of people surf every single DAY) was a good idea, and 2) I didn’t have time to write in a blog.

But I do write in a manual journal. Yes, you know, those little notebooks that you open and close by yourself, and it’s filled with dozens and dozens of lined paper pages? Yeah, that. That’s been my main way of communicating with my inside self for the past… three years (middle school).

But now high school’s about to start, and I think it’s a good time to start blogging again. People say high school is suppose to be the most exciting years of your life, which I put some faith into, but not altogether believe. But what do I know? I’ve only stepped in a high school three or four times, not including all of those school-related events like band or orchestra that take place in high schools. And I haven’t even gotten to see the high school I’m going to in action.

I’m not going to post everyday, of course, unlike some bloggers around here (No offense to them, of course-blogging is fun!). I’m enrolled in a rather prestigious and academically advanced program, so I don’t think I have enough time to post more than once a week. Maybe not even once a week (But I’ll be able to remember stuff with my manual journal, which I’ll continue to keep even after I start this blog).

I’m also keeping names and stuff anonymous, and I’m giving vague descriptions.

Now, onto the introduction.

Mom and dad are both middle-aged (Why wouldn’t they be? I’m going to high school, after all). Mom is rather strict and likes to push my limits. She makes me learn stuff I don’t want to learn (Like reading and writing Chinese, even though that’s my native language) and has quite a short temper. I make one silly mistake, and BAM! She’s all over me. Dad, however, is much more mellow. He’s not as strict, but also has high expectations for me.

I also have a baby brother. He’s almost three months, and he’s the cutest thing in the world. Yes, I know that phrase is overused, but when you actually have a baby brother, it seems like the truth. He’s a tough little guy. I bet he’ll be great in sports, and I’m sure he’ll do just as well in academics. Granny came over to the US recently to take care of my baby brother. Without her, we’d have to hire a babysitter, and my parents are a bit iffy about that. Granny loves my baby brother just as much as I do.

Well, that’s it, I guess. Now, I’ll wait for school to start again. And so The Drama Ensues.
